Children with cerebral palsy in the Volgograd region will be taught to walk by a robot(Walkbot)

With the help of high-tech rehabilitation methods(Walkbot), more than a hundred disabled children have improved their condition.

A new Walkbot device is being mastered at the regional children's hospital. He not only simulates the steps of the patient, but also immerses him in a normal environment using a special screen on which the child sees his every movement.

Patients from all over the region come here for treatment. The Walkbot system makes the hip, calf and ankle work. With the help of this apparatus, the child begins to feel his legs, which delights the children, Denis Petrov, a doctor at the rehabilitation department of the regional children's hospital, told Volgogradskaya Pravda.ru.

The first result of working with the apparatus delights the child - for the first time he feels his legs and realizes that they can walk,” the doctor explains. - This is not just a treatment, this is a mission game, because each session with the robot ends with the achievement of the goal. A child, controlling the apparatus, comes with his feet every time to a given point and sees his results in reality.

We add that the rehabilitation department of the regional children's hospital can simultaneously accommodate up to 60 patients on a round-the-clock basis.
